Thank you for your interest in donating! The successes of our work wouldn’t happen without the kindness and generosity of so many thoughtful people throughout the Guelph community.
1. Donate On-Line
Your financial support goes directly back into our community by allowing us to buy food, much needed necessities and to running our programs.
- Visit our donation page at https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/guelph-neighbourhood-support-coalition/
- You will see a drop down menu where you can scroll down and select Onward Willow Neighbourhood Group from the list of charitable groups.
- You will receive an electronic tax receipt from Canada Helps for your donation amount.
2. Donate Much Needed Items
We welcome donations during office hours. To drop off a donation, please feel free to walk right into the Centre (no need to knock!). Donations can be dropped off in the front room that you enter into. You can let a volunteer know that you are dropping off a donation.
Here is a list of our most needed items:
- Non-perishable food items including peanut butter, canned vegetables, canned fruits, pasta sauce, pasta, cereal, individual pudding, individual applesauce, brown beans, & tuna.
- Household items (plates, cutlery, cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc. & decor items including paintings, ceramics, & other trinkets & treasures)
- Hygiene items (specifically: toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorants, body washes, soaps, shampoo & conditioner)
- Baby items: cream, baby shampoo, diapers & wipes
- Clothes
*We are unable to accept car seats, stuffed animals, and linens for safety & hygiene reasons.
2. Donate Large Items
*We welcome large donations like furniture unfortunately, we’re not able to accept unplanned large item donation drop offs.* We simply do not have any storage space to store these valuable items! Instead please email Shauna at shauna.owng@gmail.com with pictures of the item and any helpful details. She will then forward the pictures to our community and find a person in need of your donation.
Once you are matched we can set up a time for you drop off your item in the Onward Willow Neighbourhood or alternatively we can schedule a time for your item to be picked up.
