Food Access & Meal Guides [COVID-19 Updates]

As per instruction from Wellington Dufferin Public Health, Onward Willow Neighbourhood Group will be closed to the public until further notice. This is to decrease our risk of spreading COVID-19 as cases continue to rise in Ontario and we are in lockdown. This is a trying time for everyone but please know we are here to help as we can. We are trying to find creative ways to distribute essential items to our community. If there is something you or anyone you know is in need of, please e-mail us or leave us a message at 519-824-6892.

The emergency food cupboard at Onward Willow Neighbourhood Group can be accessed once per month by anyone living within our neighbourhood boundaries (please see our ‘About’ page for details). Please bring one piece of ID as proof of address and ID for any additional family members that have needs. We offer basics along with Cobs bread and buns and occasionally various types of meat. We also offer feminine hygiene products, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and occasionally diapers and other hygiene products depending on what’s at hand.

If you are located on the west side of the Hanlon Parkway, your neighbourhood group is Parkwood Gardens and is located inside the West End Rec Centre.

The Silvercreek Community Market offers free produce, bread, and non-perishables to neighbourhood folks every FIRST and THIRD Thursday of each month between 2pm-3pm. ID is required as proof of address. Please bring your own  sturdy bags. It is best to arrive a little early if you need to register and also to receive a number. Coffee, tea, and light refreshments are offered in a welcoming, friendly setting at All Saints Anglican & Lutheran Church. Access to the market is at the back of the building and around the north side (the Value Village side).
